  17.     This small CASE SCC package was written mainly (in the software
  18. trenches) for low level detail liaison between the programmer and
  19. management. I feel that both programmers and management have a
  20. dire need for more visibility and exact change reporting down to
  21. the line and sometime (nitty bitty) charter detail. I believe this
  22. package has a very low level control and visibility that seems to
  23. be missing in the more expensive CASE software control packages.

  61.      For a floppy based SCC system: Text and data files should
  62.      fit on one floppy diskette. Please make a backup copy of the
  63.      SCC system that way you will have a backup available if problem
  64.      should occur.

  66.      For a hard disk SCC system: Create a sub directory called "SCC"
  67.      with the command

  129. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

  132.      MS-DOS 2.0 or greater

  136.      No known conflicts with memory resident programs.

  139.      WARNING: Before installing this or ANY new software, you
  140. should BACK UP any valuable data on your computer system. SCC has
  141. been extensively tested, and it is believed to be very reliable.
  142. However, software is one of the most complicated kind of product
  143. there is. So you are completely responsible for determining the
  144. fitness or usability of this package.

  148. DEFINITION OF SHAREWARE

  150.      Shareware is a distribution method, not a type of software.
  151. You should find software that suits your needs and pocketbook,
  152. whether it's commercial or Shareware. The Shareware system makes
  153. fitting your needs easier, because you can try before you buy.
  154. And because the overhead is low, prices are low also. Shareware
  155. has the ultimate money-back guarantee -- if you don't use the
  156. product, you don't pay for it.

  159.      SCC is a "shareware program" and is provided at no charge
  160. to the user for evaluation.  Feel free to share it with your
  161. friends, but please do not give it away altered or as part of
  162. another system.  The essence of "user-supported" software is to
  163. provide personal computer users with quality software without
  164. high prices, and yet to provide incentive for programmers to
  165. continue to develop new products.  If you find this program
  166. useful and find that you are using SCC and continue to use
  167. SCC after a reasonable trial period, you must make a reg-
  168. istration payment to Walter Erickson (Softime Systems). The
  169. registration fee will license one copy for use on any one
  170. computer at any one time.  You must treat this software just
  171. like a book.  An example is that this software may be used by
  172. any number of people and may be freely moved from one computer
  173. location to another, so long as there is no possibility of it
  174. being used at one location while it's being used at another.
  175. Just as a book cannot be read by two different persons at the
  176. same time.

  179. copies of SCC within 30 days of first use or their license
  180. is withdrawn.  Site-License arrangements may be made by con-
  181. tacting Walter Erickson (Softime Systems).

  183.      Anyone distributing SCC for any kind of remuneration must
  184. first contact Walter Erickson (Softime Systems) for authorization.
  185. This authorization will be automatically granted to distributors
  186. recognized by the (ASP) as adhering to its guidelines for
  187. shareware distributors, and such distributors may begin offering
  188. SCC immediately (However Walter Erickson of Softime Systems must
  189. still be advised so that the distributor can be kept up-to-date
  190. with the latest version of SCC.).
